Early booking
New year's resolutioin is to update my blog every week with thoughts and ideas about what makes the perfect family holiday. I got a very clever card through the post this week from Thomson Al Fresco - suggesting holiday ideas especially for the O'Reilly family. Clever marketing I thought. They knew we'd been with them before, where we'd stayed and had found three other holidays in France and Italy they thought we might like. And with a big discount if we booked before end of January. Much more inspired that the usual junk we get through the post. At least I kept the card and stuck it on the noticeboard. I've also been looking at Eurocamp online. Love the idea of skipping to the shop for fresh croissants and a paper, long lazy breakfast on the deck, reading my book, kids playing together....This week I am going to price it up so we have something to look forward to.

Hello Rachel,
ReplyDeleteGlad that you liked our recent mailer. We've been working really hard to make sure that our DM is as relevant and timely as possible.
Have to agree that this type of holiday is perfect for families with young children. We went to Park Albatros in Tuscany last summer with our then nearly 3 year old and had a great time. The huge pools (made out of a bouncy material which is ideal for little ones), sandy playground next to the restaurant and a nice big mobile home (think sitting out on the decking with a bottle of Chianti once kids are in bed, rather than whispering to each other and drinking wine out of tooth mugs post-10pm as we have done on previous hotel-based holidays)meant that me and my husband actually managed to have a nice, relaxed holiday too.
If you'd like more information on any of the parcs that we offer our travel advisors have first hand knowledge or visit www.thomsonalfresco.co.uk

Thanks Katherine, that's a great tip! We have been twice to south of France with Thomson Al Fresco and loved it. I've recommended it to quite a few friends. I will look up Park Albatros. R
